I shot this photo the other day as a storm was rolling in. The black birds couldn’t get situated as usual and kept flying on and off of this one set of power lines.

This photo was taken just after sunset so you can see the last glimmer of orange sunlight disappearing over the horizon. I didn’t alter the color of the leaf, the blue just came from the way the remaining light was catching its edges in the darkness.

I designed this logo for a fictional company that builds prototypes for high tech companies. It was the result of a project from one of my design classes which had the stipulations that the logo must use pliers and be for a business in the technology industry. The logo was developed based on the concept that the company helps create and build new, “sprouting” technologies by constructing prototypes for cutting edge projects. This is illustrated through the combination of the pliers and sprouting leaves. I went for the lowercase sans-serif type because I felt it helped create a fresh, new, clean feeling which worked to support the company name, logo mark and the company’s work.
